Phantasm Press Is Hosting a Short Story Prize for Diabetes uk
Phantasm Press is an independent publishing company specialising in horror and the supernatural, based in Scarborough. We are dedicated to ensuring the best and brightest wordsmiths can find their voice in these interesting times, and we hope you will join us in our journey. It is a very exciting time for publishers, writers and creative’s of all kinds, and we are offering an exciting career changing opportunity. We are seeking your best frightening short stories and poems to help commemorate the bicentenary of the publication of Mary Shelley's masterpiece. To take part just submit a short story, of a maximum of 6,000 words by the 30th November, featuring ghosts, ghoulies and anything horror related.
The shortlisted writers will be published in an anthology of work for Christmas. In addition, winning shortlisted writers will have the opportunity to spend a day with an editor and a publishing professional – an experience that money can’t buy and one that could help take your writing to the next level.
The short story competition will take place during the month of November, with the intent of raising money for Diabetes UK - a registered charity. All profits will be donated in memory of Richard Dalby, co-founder of Phantasm Press. All shortlisted stories will be notified by the 6th of December.
The competition is open to anyone and welcomes stories between 300 and 6,000 words in length.
